TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the validity of information regarding Non-Immigrant 'O' Visa requirements shared two years ago. Commenters confirmed that the information remains accurate, emphasizing that changes in visa rules are often discussed informally rather than officially. They provided insights on documentation needed, experiences with the visa process, and checks on nationality-specific regulations.
if both original marriage certificate and birth certificate were in Eng version? Do you need both docs? If yes, do I still need to certified and translated docs from eng to Thai at Thai consular in Bangkok?
Bryan Robert In Laos you will only get the Single Entry Non Immigrant O visa based on having a half Thai child, no financial requirement as far as I know.
The way the visa works is the same for every 1 year multiple entry Non Immigrant visa (except the O-A or O-X), the requirements to get the visa based on having a Thai Child are different.
As this will sound amazing and un believable to most of our members: YES, this information is still correct, the daily changes of visa rules are only mentioned in bars not at Immigration Offices and Consulates.
