TLDR : Answer Summary
The question of whether a police clearance is required for a 1-year extension of the Non-O (marriage) visa has received mixed responses from the community. Most commenters noted that they have not encountered a necessity for a police clearance, especially for extensions based on marriage, retirement, or similar grounds. However, experiences differ depending on the immigration office. Some users mentioned that certain offices may ask for additional documentation or verification, including witness interviews. One individual shared an experience where, unexpectedly, a criminal record check was requested after their application had already been processed. In conclusion, it's advisable to check specific requirements at the immigration office where you plan to apply, as policies can vary significantly.

+ this morning they realized that they wrote 2020 instead of 2019 and crossed that too.
My passport looks like a scrapbook with a lot of mistakes in it.

It's ok though, they told me to bring the receipt only (from the police) as it might take longer than my Visa expiry date.

I have never heard of a year extension (based on marriage, retirement, raising half thai or 100% foreign children), requiring a police clearance BUT I have heard of year extensions based on working or volunteering requiring it at SOME immigration offices depending on nationality of the applicant

yeah, you need to apply every year for a new 1 year Extension of Stay, it is annoying that you can not apply for a 5 or 10 year Extension of Stay, but it is what it is.
No handouts, official websites, that makes live easy, here is the police order, just show them and give them this link to the complete Police Order
New immigration in Ang Thong.. I'm doing my TM30 and extension there.
The previous one was in Cheang Wattana.
It's like they want me to do the whole process all over again. They even asked for more than 8 photos of me with my wife and daughter.

Okay, is it mentioned in the hand out with requirements you picked up before you went to apply for this Extension of Stay and which Immigration Office is making the rules thing?
