Has anyone ever done a Bank Statement + letter (to immigration officer) attesting you have more that 400k for the past few months in your account *At Kasikorn Bank in Cheang Wattana*

I want to know how long does it take and if I could do it the same day I'm getting my non-O.

Thanks. :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the process of obtaining a bank statement and a letter from Kasikorn Bank to prove there is over 400,000 baht in the account for a Non-O visa application at the immigration office in Chaeng Wattana. It suggests that while it is typically possible to receive the bank letter on the same day, experiences may vary based on the specific branch and the current queue of customers. Overall, applicants should aim to get the letter, update their bank book, and then proceed to the immigration office to apply for their visa.

I only had one non-home K-bank branch ever tell me they couldn't do it that day. Meanwhile the home bank is obliged to do it. If for some reason they try to weasel out of it I just tell them the sob story about how I have to get it to Immigration that day and I thought all home branches must do it and...and...and...But even that only happened once and they did it in the end.

You could indeed show up at the K bank branch in the basement of Chaengwattana get them to write you the bank letter, and update your bank book, then go upstairs and apply for your Non-O visa

Are you sure? Eleven years ago my first extension on my Non-B was for marriage. K-Bank near me would not write me the letter. They told me I had to go to the branch that opened my account, which at that time was pretty far away and was kind of a hassle. Maybe things have changed in eleven years but Thai banks seem to have archaic policies in regards to things like this.

Remember the banks don't open until 8:30 am and by the time they've done it, you've photocopied everything etc. you still have to go back upstairs and get a queue number.......I always feel better getting all my paperwork done and photocopied the day before.

As usual thanks a lot Tod.. took them a whole day for a small K.Bank branch to process that letter last time.

I'll do it at Cheang Wattana, seems faster! ๐Ÿ˜‚

The longest I've ever waited for a bank letter from ANY bank downstairs at Chaengwattana was 30 minutes.

, IF you are using the branch in the basement of the government complex that houses the immigration office they do it on the spot, BUT I have seen that IF you're using your branch they sometimes tell you to come back tomorrow to pick up the letter.

Seeing as the bank letters are good for 7 days once they're written you won't have a problem. Get the letter, update your bank book on the day you're applying to show the balance is still above 400K and you're fine

Making the bank statement is done in minutes, application and getting the 30 day under consideration, guess you apply for Extension of Stay based on marriage takes maximum 30 minutes. How long does it take to get it all done is depending on how many people standing in line in front of you.

Copy and paste again: "Making the bank statement is done in minutes" "How long does it take to get it all done is depending on how many people standing in line in front of you."
