@Jim ******
yes - and you said it should be understood which it should not - it should be understand.

@Jim ******
you don't have to specify the obvious - I was commenting on the answer "understood".

@Jim ******
actually not in this context - it should have been understand - not understood. you can't mix present and past time. Then it should have been "we would have understood" - but since he uses present it's "we can understand" and variations thereof - for example "we would have been able to understand"

different visa? you don't have a visa when you do that - you enter visa exempt

@Marc *******
really? the prime minister was involved apparently so I wonder... Strict orders to immigration they can't ignore

@J *************
since the tightening of the exempt rules have just been implemented then what was published long ago is irrelevant

IsaanThai5754 what gave you that impression? I see nothing mentioned about "having to go to an embassy"

@Piero ************

@Mervyn *******
if/when you go to immi to get that fixed it would be interesting to know if the problem was because the system wants a recently updated tm30. I had a tm47 rejected once - and the automated answer that I had to come immediately to the office made me nervous but they said to me "1st time after being abroad must come in person" - I said I have not been abroad - she looked in my passport and her screen and said : mistake 😊
