Anonymous participant if you have an edu visa you can’t even apply for an elite visa which costs 500,000thb, so they definitely have some issue with Edu.
On that note I did have an edu visa during initially covid but I got the dtv on soft power easily and just recently re entered Thailand 10 days ago, no questions but I was traveling with my Thai gf.
Anonymous participant 167 I missed my 90 day report last Dec and I was flying out anyway on day 102(so 12 days late). Flew back in last week to bkk. Nothing was mentioned about my supposed fine.
I’m told (maybe it was Todd on this thread), only if I have any business with immigration they might bring it up to pay the 2000thb fine.
supposed to, but i miss-read the stamp on my passport and was 5 days late, and i was flying in a few days, so didn't do it. I'm told, if I have to have any business handled at immigration they might bring up I have to pay the fine of 2000thb.
I left Dec 27 to Vietnam came back Jan 3, on staying 97 days on my first dtv stay. Pretty cheap to fly just 1:40m away and the country itself is cheap but USA requires a $35 usd visa. If you’re purely bottom cost KL you might be able to do a same day flight run but you’ll need to book separate flights
After hearing your paperwork story I think bouncing in n out of the country might be easier.
