Nothing is free! I got a bank account, one year visa, and little required for bant deposit all in 5 hours. Some people are busy in business earning more money. Rather than running around. Also they have to front up the required Thailand bank amount. So it's not free.

More people here don't appear to have a lot of money. So they do it themselves.

Correct.i have a retirement visa. You can't have a bank account on a tourist visa.
