erm, Portugal cost of living can be very reasonable, competitive to Thsiland. Mo problem. Depends on your budget and choices.

Just go straight to Portugal. Save all the hassle.

I did not really complain, rather I was telling it like it is. If you believe my bank did not ask to copy my driving licence then that is up to you. It sounds like my reflection of what happened is triggering you to complain. 555

with the lived experience, I can say that I have not seen any bank explian their reason or providing any evidence for any reason for blocking my accounts and getting them unlocked would not have happened without proving my ID, my visa status, and my address.

it pays to be correct. My bank certainly wants to know my address. Without a correct address you can not be correctly identified, according to them. My bank copied my driving licences as proof of ID when changing address. I know not why. I learnt asking why is a waste of time, often because they may not know why themselves. My bank details can also be used to verify my address to overseas establishments, if that is what they say they want. So you carry on, and I will too.
