While I agree with you, in my experience with experts (not in Thailand), it’s still best to be armed with as much information as possible. Knowing what options might be available, and what questions possibly should be asked, may prevent his being sent in the wrong direction by a lawyer...if he even chose that direction. It also helps in evaluating the quality of a lawyer and whether they know their stuff.
I've lost two friends (as well as several acquaintances) and have two friends who still have issues as a result of the virus, so please take off your tinfoil hat or at least keep to yourself. Your comments are offensive to those of us who have been hurt. If you want to wallow in ignorance and believe YouTube "doctors" over peer reviewed studies, that's your prerogative, but please don't spread your ignorance with such pride.
I'm not going to continue to discuss, but it's not just this post. Any time anyone asks any question, people don't just answer. It seems they need to be attacked. This group is normally a good source of information, but it has become very unpleasant.
I grew up there, but I now consider myself a Californian. When my daughter was in first grade (she was actually 5 at the time), the school asked me to talk to her about her use of sarcasm and to isolate it to talking to the teacher. They said that the other kids couldn't understand it and it could cause issues. lol. We did and she did.
