I got soft power at London embassy and transferred the required money into my account about 10 minutes before I submitted the application. They didn’t ask any further questions about my finances. I’ve heard some embassies are requesting 3 months of bank statements showing 500k+ though so ymmv.

Anonymous participant 675 because a lot of people have reported that the embassy they applied at has wanted to see the money in the account for 3 months prior to application.

I transferred the money into my account the same day I applied through the London embassy and it wasn’t an issue. I think it’s best to have the money sat there for at least 3 months however as many people have reported having to send several months worth of statements and there seems to be a tightening up of rules at the moment.

London seem to be pretty quick. I got mine in 5 days, it was approved on a Sunday around 11pm so it would seem there’s some automation on their end.

The documents I’ve been sent for approval are 18mb and can upload a maximum of 3mb of visa application. Is it ok to compress into a zip file do you know?

so basically I wasted 1900 extending my stay whilst I wait for my visa? Yay! At least I know for the future.
