no it's not, he entered as an AQ tourist not Sandbox. He has to complete his full quarantine period. You can't change half way through

I travelled from Bangkok to Phuket for a week at Xmas and didn't submit a new TM30 when I got back. I was able to do a new 90 day report in Jan though

I believe you will be on an overstay as well. If you enter after your extension of stay has expired. Regardless of whether you were in Thailand or not. I think that's the case

You would also need to factor in the time between the first and second shots

you don't need a vacvine to fly. Just a negative RT-PCR test

Yeah, thats what I had to do. I went from the Visa amnesty > Visiting Thai Family > year long extension of stay based on marriage. Renewed the extension last october and had no issues. Good luck :)
