I think the USA just changed and all visa apps are done through the EVisa site.

once out of quarantine he could go get the 30 day extension as well. Which should give more then enough time to get changed over to the non-o visa.

Contact your embassy with the new details. They’ll change your COE and issue you a new one.

You don’t need to to apply for a new COE (that seems to mess up the process for others)

its actually very simple/easy to come to thailand. you just have to be willing to quarantine, get insurance, and have a negative covid test prior to coming.

Depending on where you passport is from you may not even need a visa!

. If a Thai person is not flying on a repatriation flight then they are subject to the rules of the airline. And most international flights require the test (or consider you a regular traveler and are subject to the rules of country you’re flying into. Ie Thailand requires a neg covid test to come here so you’d also have to have one).
Ryan ********
Keep in mind you may need a neg covid test if not taking a repatriation flight.

Shouldn’t be a problem since the minimum requirement is for the initial 90 days. You’ll get 90 more on your first extension.

When you go to get it ask if you need to cancel your visa before you leave (ie go to immigration the day before your flight to cancel it)

I was told that with my ED visa if I leave early I should go cancel it in case I ever come back to Thailand and want to study again. If I don’t cancel it I may not get another ED visa. But if it’s cancelled it shouldn’t be a problem in the future.

they do. as you get 45 days on visa exempt. as long as you go to the school on the day you get out of quarantine it should be enough. or just go get your extension stamp as you get out of quarantine then you'll def have enough time.

not specifically.

However you'll need to be in thailand before applying for the ED visa. Most schools will help you through the process (or just do it for you)

However you'll need at least 30 days left on the stamp in your passport to complete the process.

yes. I came on a tourist visa in December and switched to an Ed visa.

Ed visa for language study gives you up to 1 year I believe.
