Hi there.
I am going to apply for my 30 day extension on my tourist visa. This is my first time doing this (arrived December 4th).
Do I need a passport photo for the extension?
do they keep my passport? (i need it to fly to Phuket on Tuesday).
* edit. Also where in bangkok do you go to get the extension?
Thank you,
TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a 30-day extension on a tourist visa in Thailand, you typically need to provide a passport photo, alongside other documents such as copies of your passport, recent visa, and TM30 form. However, some immigration offices may have varying requirements. It's confirmed that they will not keep your passport during the process, and you should receive the extension on the spot if eligible. Additionally, it's recommended to check the location of the immigration office in Bangkok where you plan to apply.
