I do wonder why she just doesn't do this in Vietnam, which is where her profile suggests she lives.

There isn't a visa for it.

Either your husband gets a non-O based on being over 50 and you become his dependent or you get a tourist visa before entering Thailand which is good for 2 months, go down immigration and extend for 30 days then you leave.

I doubt they particularly give a monkeys to be honest with you. Turn up, give them your money, get your extension and get on with your life.

Failing that if you're worried you're going to be struck down by covid then just stay at home and don't go to Thailand.

You pull your big boy pants up and get down to Immigration unless you're in hospital when you ask the hospital if they can help get your extension. Alternatively, overstay and pay the fine.

Go to immigration and get list of their requirements

I had the same with SCB when I got a new phone last year. I had to wait until I was back in Thailand to set it up on the new phone.

nah, hasn't returned and I haven't heard of any plans to bring it back. They're about to introduce their equivalent of GDPR either tomorrow or 1 July, forgotten which one, which would make it impossible to bring that letter back. Whether they follow their own rules, however, is another thing altogether 🤣

That letter, which had multiple people's names and passport details on, has also gone

visa on arrival for tourists hasn't been available since covid. Evisa is what has to be done now.
