No, a Non-O is also an option as well as the Non-OA and little used Non-OX, all available now only online

If you have Thai family (wife or child) or are over 50 why not enter with a Non-O Visa to make opening a bank account much easier?

You cannot marry again if you are legally married, you register your marriage at the local Amphur after getting it notarized etc.

If you don't already have a Thai bank account open one during your 10 day stay and transfer the 800k so that when you return the funds will be seasoning ready for your first 12 month Extension of Stay (assuming that your Embassy does not provide the income affidavit).
