I recently renewed my passport and had my retirement visa transferred to the new passport. Immigration now requires a new TM30 even though I remain at the same address. My question is, how does this affect my 90 day check-in timing? Does the new TM30 reset the 90 day clock, or do I continue check in at the date specified by my last check-in notice under my old passport?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The new TM30 must be filed because of the new passport number, but it does not reset your 90-day check-in timing. Your check-in is still based on your original entry date into Thailand, not the date of the new TM30 filing. Therefore, you should continue to check in on the date specified by your last 90-day notice from your old passport.

Yep, you do that, your next 90 day report doesn't have anything to do with when you filed a TM30 ๐

Your TM30 has your passport number on it, which is why you need to file a new one. As others have said, the TM30 has nothing to do with your 90 day report deadline. Besides the fact it needs to match your passport and address you use to file it.

90 days from when you entered leaving and returning is the only way to re set a 90 day

90 days report has nothing to do with your extension now maybe you report at the same time and you can do that
??? Maybe you mean online that does not work ? In person it does. Every year they tear out my last 90 day notification paper out of my passport and put a new paper in with new date 89 days after the day I went there for my extension. And THAT I am sure of.
The new TM30 is because your new passport number is in the system replacing your old one. The 90 day reporting remains the same from the date you entered, not the date you did the new TM30.
I was a bit confused on this one myself when I did mine a couple months ago.

TM30 is a different animal and not to be confused with 90 day reports.

TM30 has nothing to do with 90 day report, so you are still on the same reporting date as you were
Well, maybe you have point anyway. So online and in person. In Korat imm. we just have to give our passport with latest notification in it. But originally with the TM47 I checked and also on that form the passport number is asked. So, difficult to say. But maybe a new TM30 covers it all ๐คทโโ๏ธ
