. Went to district office today. Got a copy of Kor Ror 2 no problems but they said they cannot reproduce Kor Ror 3 (the rose bordered certificate.). Immigration require it for spouse visas and extensions.. need to site originals and copies of both.

1. Branch location of bank/account is irrelevant for visas/extensions. They only care that you have the money in any thai bank account.

2 . That fee for opening a bank account is a f#%king joke. Extortion.

Yes.. the 800k is a minimum balance of the application. You can have any amount above that.

. Most countries don't require a police clearance to marry. Yours might but he's from UK and doesn't. Shouldn't need a birth certificate either. Passport should be enough for him, and Affirmation that you mentioned.

I think it's the agent taking the piss trying to fleece him for 300 baht.

Or the landlord gets the agent to do tm30 for him and pays him 300 baht not realizing it can now be done online in 5 minutes by anyone. He can do it himself with landlords details and permission.
