yes, I'll have to ask some south african friends who I know have been in Vietnam. I cannot imagine they all apply via the embassy. I have double checked. SA is definitely not in that list, but the vietnam-visa.com service seems to offer the service. This is why I go to the countries that do visa exemptinn :D

Are there visa companies you would suggest I use to get help doing this?

Which schools are good with helping in terms of the ED visa? Currently in Thailand. Is the best strategy to do the admin with them here, then fly out to get visa?

Last week I got a recidency certificate from immigration (on 30 day exemption) through BFV. Then a medical certificate from Klaimor hospital. Then went to land transport office. Made photo copies of my SA English license and my passport + visa page (the photo copy guy knows what you need). Gave all of that in. Did a colour blind test, watched an hour video, there was some paper work, then sat in a cue for a photo and they printed my two year Thai driver's license. Roughly 1200Baht all in all. Can do cheaper.

Eish... I am hoping to do a border bounce in Mae Sai this weekend. Will be my first land crossing of the year. I just want the 30 day entry visa for now. Still working on the education visa.
