Hi!

Im flying into Bangkok (BKK) in a week. Can't wait. So excited to get back. 

Can I bring the currency in euros as opposed to baht? 

Also, will a bus ticket to Penang qualify as a return ticket?

There was a story today (in the Bangkok expats group, I think) that the Don Mueang IO's would not accept bus tickets as onward travel. Had to be flights. No idea how much there is to it. Or if it applies to swampy as well. I'd always bring a cheap flight that I may or may not use.

How many visa exempts do you have ? Have you already been told by immagration to get a proper visa

thanks, yes, I don't want to deal with the fallout of being rejected. Buying a bus ticket and having some cash on hand is a small price to pay. Thanks for the help!

might still be flagged i have two passports and came in on one i hadnt used gor a year was still flagged but obviously with the time there was no problems. Unfortunately as you are from Africa and lots of immagration offences and others are commited by Africans (Nigeria has highest amount of foriegn prisoners in Thai jails) They probably will still scrutinise you and best to be prepared with

baht onward ticket and accomadation. I dont see why the wouldnt accept equivilant in Euros.

I've been out of the country since Feb. I have been spoken to by the officer at 11pm one night late last year when I had been here for a few straight months. I don't think my passport will be flagged for any particular reason (maybe being from Africa) but I much prefer peace of mind.
