Can I use a 6-month tourist visa one month before it expires?

there have the expiry date on your visa lable, it is different of how long you can stay in Thailand. e.g. 6 months visa, visa issue date 1 July, enter before 30 Sep, if you enter on 31 Aug then count 6 months start from 31 Aug
