 is exactly my position. As James says, make sure you get a re entry permit on leaving (I get mine at Suvarnabhumi as I leave, (1000 baht with preprepared form and photo, 1200 if they do).

You just need go be inside thailand at tour extension times.

 and ...if you miss the signage and end up airside, you can walk round and enter from airside side (not that I ever had to do that! 🙄)

 landlords can also be fined tho ...2 thai hotels were fined on phangan last month for not filing tm30s 🙄
