@Spic*****
the UK allows it if for example, you live somewhere which the law says you must have a passport on your person, or you need to travel, and your work requires that for visa applications you need to send a passport away.

A replacement UK passport took under 2 weeks door to door when I last did it here. Has that now changed?

@Robert ******

@Robert ******
thanks Robert, hmmm, as I said, my 90 day report was done at cheangwatthana (reporting a bangkok address) - so this means I cant use the samui office?

I should add, whilst my reminder popped up today, the due date is not today, but in 2 weeks on the 4th Aug, so I have some time.

@To**
in this case I’d say its best to call the embassy directly, and see how they interpret the requirements. Good luck 👍🏻

@Benjamin *****
it seems for a 90 day non O, theres a
*****
gbp requirement, or proof of a state pension. As the OP is of pensionable age, is this not an option??

“Non-Immigrant Type O (Retirement (pensioner aged 50 or above with a state pension who wants to stay in Thailand for no longer than 90 days) - single entry only)

Financial evidence e.g. A copy of pension statement if the applicant is a pensioner, or a copy of 1-month bank statement showing your income from pension, or 3-month bank statement of at least £10,000

Confirmation of legal residence in the UK or Ireland”
