No, they didn't.

Just a quick update. I went to the SA embassy and they are NOT issuing a letter as SA borders are open. However they very kindly gave me a letter asking immigration to give me assistance. I went through to immigration and it took me 8 hours in the queue to get an under consideration stamp for 60 days. I have to go back on the 18th. All in all twas a long day but I'm happy 🤗
