Hello, I need some advice please. I received my WP in Sept 2019 from the agency that employs me. I would like to resign and I know that they will cancel my WP with immediate effect. What are my options in terms of a visa if I would like to stay on for a couple of months and travel. I am South African. Prior to receiving my WP I got my Non B from Laos which expired in Sept 2019. I have also done 2 visa runs to Cambodia so I can't go there apparently. Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on visa options after resigning from their job in Thailand and having their work permit canceled. They previously held a Non-B visa that expired in September 2019 and have completed two visa runs this year, making them ineligible for further land border visa runs until January 2020. Suggestions from the community include applying for a tourist visa at a Thai consulate in Laos, while also needing to present proof of funds and onward travel.
May I ask what your plans are for next year? Do you plan on trying to stay in Thailand? If so and if you are age 50+ you may want to consider a retirement visa.

Savannakhet is out of question, she stayed more than 90 day in past 6 month
Is Vientiane possible? Also note she has already used up her two border land crossings this year.
If denied how would she be able to return to Thailand?

Savannakhet
Tourist Visa, apply if you stayed less than 90 days in past 6 month, show own Thai Book Bank with balance THB 20,000.- up OR print out from your Bank account from home country value USD 700.-up. OR Onward air ticket.

Vientianne
Tourist Visa, if you had previously some Tourist visas your application will be considered more carefully. Vientiane is now, in most cases, asking for proof of funds, Book Bank with balance THB 20,000.- up OR print out from Bank account from home country value USD 700.-up. Onward air ticket is not required.

Remember you'll need to make an appointment with the online booking system to use the thai consulate in Vientiane, but Savannakhet is just walk up service.
Also you're going to need to show proof of funds (at least 20K baht or the equivalent in a bank account) proof of onward travel (out of thailand in 60 to 90 days) and you could be asked for proof of lodging or a confirmed hotel reservation.

Thank you so much for all your help. Excuse my ignorance but what does SETV stand for?

you need to go to the thai consulate in either Vientiane or Savannakhet Lao and buy a single entry tourist visa.
That would get you stamped in for 60 days when you enter the country.
Just so you know; there is no such thing as a 30 day visa :/

If you have gotten two 30 day visa exempt entries by land so far this year you can't bounce out and back in at ANY land border crossing for a new 30 day visa exempt entry until Jan 1 2020.
You could go to a thai consulate in lao and BUY a single entry tourist visa.

So when does the 90 day entry stamp on your Non-B visa expire?
