well I am half way there I had no probs at Manchester airport the lady just said are you doing a border run as you have no visa and your here until April I wasn't asked for any docs eg vaccine,insurance,flight etc

that is correct but for most people you arrive the day after you fly due to the distance travelling and time difference Eg I fly on Thursday but I don't arrive until Friday.

I have never been pulled up for not having a flight within the 60 days but I guess there is allways a first time. I will find out on Friday as I fly and return home in April 😂

I have never had a problem with my flight exceeding the 60 days, only once was I questioned at Manchester so I had to educate him about extensions and border runs.

Are land border runs for visa renewal currently permitted for STV holders in Thailand?

if you have been on a stv they may question you as the stv gives you up to 9 months if you do a border run then you are clearly showing that you are not a "tourist".
