maybe if you fly same day as arrival, they could see it as a connecting flight. Make sure to add your boarding pass for both flights, hotel booking in Hanoi to the application. But the biggest issue is that starting Saturday the whole country shuts down for a week for Tet (lunar New Year) so if you apply today, you won't be approved until 5 or 6 February at the earliest
Anonymous participant yeah if I don't get it today I will definitely be calling them tomorrow. I think they send out the approvals/visa's at the end of the day (my friend got hers at 6:30pm even) so I'll just wait it out today. I do assume they want to process all applications from last week before Tet (starting this weekend). I just want to fly back to TH and am definitely not known for being patient ๐
I actually applied to HCM, but they're not answering the phone. Also, today is (business) day 5, so it's not overdue (yet), just want to 'remind' them of my application ๐
No if you enter through HCM you have to apply to the HCM consulate. They want to see the stamp in your passport and a hotel booking so they can see where you entered the country. After applying you could travel to anywhere in the country. I donโt think they ever ask people in for interviews, but they can, in theory, which would require you to come back to the city you applied at.
As for which one is better, dunno, I applied in HCM and am still waiting. They say 5 business days (which is today for me), they didnโt ask for additional information, so hopefully Iโll get it today ๐๐ผ
not true, the application is processed by the local embassy/consular staff. When applying through the centralized system you have to say where (which embassy/consulate) you are applying and your application gets redirected to them.
You can enter from anywhere. Just be aware that the Cambodia (Poipet) border is notorious, there was a post the other day from someone who was not let in there on a DTV, you can find the whole story in this group
