Anonymous participant 528 asking who someone is, but posting anonymously is crazy lol. You get people who blow the money they have paying an ageny an insane fee because they dont actually have the money then they are here in Thailand broke and begging so yeah I get it and I have seen it.

I can’t speak for others but I most definitely chose the right purpose of stay. I personally was told it is easier to just leave and return which is what I do. It doesn’t bother me and I just make a short vacation out of it. I cant speak for the others in here but I can say this is what I have been told and recently did.

I tried a few agencies and they were either overly expensive or said exactly what everyone is telling you, it’s easier to leave and come back. The immigration office here is apparently tough on the extension for dtvs and that came from an agent.

I have yet to have any issues coming into BKK, so I will continue to do so.

I was already living and working in Asia so I just sold my house and everything in it. Set up a mail forwarding service, researched and got the right visa, quit my job and here I am almost 2 years later.

Honestly, from all the stories I have seen, leaving and returning is the easiest solution.

im not being judgmental, I am saying we knew what this visa was when we got it, and the issues at some immigration offices, so you should be prepared to do a trip if you have to. long queues are apart of every travel plan so thats not an excuse.

you had to show a certain amount of funds in your account to get the visa. For some you also had to show proof of work/income, so if a trip to Vietnam or another neighboring country is an issue then you shouldn’t have the visa. Its not a long term resident visa so you should always be prepared to have to do a “visa run”. You assumed I have nothing here when you said “yes if you have nothing here you can go”, my entire life is here and I still go.

yes because you know everything about me and what I have based on one post. Its not that deep, a trip to Vietnam or Cambodia for the weekend is not that expensive.
