I said nothing of sort. What I meant to say is that this group allow such agent and alternative solution discussions. The authority are well aware of this group existence (and the even bigger group also run by visa agent). There is a difference in Thailand between what's illegal and reprimanded vs illegal but accepted.

He said to "finish my tasks", so he's currently volunteering thinking that the 90 days allow him to. But it doesn't matter, authority are not chasing after people like him.

Don't worry about volunteering on your 60 days visa exempt. Nobody care, tens of thousands of people are currently volunteering without work permit. You are not who the authority are trying to crackdown on. They are going after online casino, call center, or people who physically work for money on the ground without permit like teacher, musicians, etc.

Tourist visa is not really a thing anymore so it affect almost nobody. They probably expect 90% reduction in people going there at this point.

Why? This is Thailand. You've not been here long enough or what? They can't get the 90 days report to work properly online.

Adding to that, the ETA, which was supposed to be early next year, was delayed because obv they have no idea what they are doing and probably got a lot of pushback from a few rich Thai family who are well connected within the agent industry (take their cut). They can't even make the 90 days online report work without lag. ETA is hopeless.

But yes, Poi Pet is hard, I would not bounce from there. 9k baht fast track service with Thai Visa Centre, or trying your luck in Chiang Mai airport or Langkawi by boat are all good options.
