Anonymous participant 307 - What visa applications have you submitted for Thailand and what embassy? Only reporting what we have seen happen many times here. Really doesn’t matter what other countries do though. Your passport says “authority” and the question Thailand is asking is place of issue.

Canada, based on the number of rejections posted stating place of issue does not match nationality.

- Agee. But if the embassy wanted to deny, they could just deny. Not like they give the applicant a reason anyway.

- Did you actually write France and not a province name or an embassy (if you reissued passport overseas)? Unfortunately all decisions are final

You double checked that they gave you a DTV? Some embassies are notorious for giving you a different visa than what you applied for, so always good to check.

- You also need to check with the embassy how much time you have to respond to a document request. If it is less than two weeks, make sure they are aware that you have placed an order and it will take this amount of time. Would be bad if after a certain number of days, while you are waiting for the birth certificate, they ended up canceling your application. Also; remember the embassy will be closed April 14, 15, & 16 and most likely limited staff (delays) 17 and 18.

Sounds like they have concern that maybe you have other citizenship, that you were not always Australian. I believe that is one of the questions on the application. An Australian application would prove that you were always Australian, if that is what you stated.
