Where did you get marry? Thailand or outside? If outside make sure you prepare all the certificates translation and certification things.

Your main goal in your first 90-day is to get the 1-year extension. If you don’t have the money in a Thai bank, open a bank account and deposit the 400K and leave there for 2 months. After that 2 months of money freezing, go and apply for 1 year extension.

Like when Tod’s said, you will need to buy the multiple re entry stamps for a true unlimited in-out permission.

You will be issued a visa with three months validity; then enter Thailand and apply for the one year formal visa

The key is to register your marriage at the local district office to get a document called “Kor 22”

If you do let have that you will not able to get the 1 year visa, good luck

Getting the 60-day extension will be your primary option so far. So you can stay until 22-Dec.

You should start to prepare all those things needed for getting the 1-year extension when your 60-day expires in December. Many things:

- have you married in Thailand? If yes it will save you a lot of troubles; otherwise you will need to register your foreign marriage (can be very complicated)

- bank financial proof that you know already

- don’t forget about TM30

- have you registered at the local district office? Have you got the pink ID card, and the yellow house registration book? If you have no idea on what I am talking about, you have not registered yet

Good luck. I have gone through all these with my wife without using agent service; spend the agency fee if you cannot manage all those yourself

Let me join the party. I am a Thai guy who come back from Hong Kong in July. The quarantine thing was free for Thais but the foods were crap. No outside activity for the whole 16-day period.

Terrible boring experience that you will never want again.
