No it is a 5 year , as long as you leave and reenter every 6 mos.

If you try an extend another 6 months in Thailand you may have to prove $$ and qualifications again.

This is not entirely confirmed yet as no one has done an incountry extension so far.

The simple difference is an ED visa requires you to attend and is supposed to be accountable as EDUCATION.

An ED visa in your passport can cause issues in the long run.

The DTV visa is for leisure activities.

You express your intention to be a tourist and attend Muay Thai training.

There is no requirement to do it more than once in 5 yrs and there is no obligation to go, like having a gym membership and never going.

There is no follow up or repercussions as long as you leave and reenter you'll get 6 months each time.

The question we are all waiting for the answer to is what will doing an extension in-country look like.

That will be answered soon.

OKAY listen.

We do not have enough details to even advise you of an agent.

Where are you, Isaan, Bkk, pattaya?

What type of visa?

What are you trying to do, live here, work here or just a tourist?
Chris *******
If your stamp has expired you will need to leave the country and pay overstay.

If you are a tourist stamp you may be able to pay the fine and extend the remainder of the 30 days.

Without knowing what visa it's impossible to tell you the exact options.

it absolutely applies, free work or volunteer work in these fields is prohibited.

You cannot do the work of a Thai.
