It is easy if you have the appropriate VISA.

it is not if you don't.

no and yes.

If you are a massive band bringing your crew and touring, there is serious legal costs involved.

Requiring multiple visas and entities involved.

Movie production companies do it all the time but have setup the necessary infrastructure here.

In the end it is very lucrative for them.

If you are "Bob the guitar guy" and want to set up a mobile music company, to freelance it's different.

There is a minimum investment of 2 million baht and Thai employees, freelance contracts, etc. required to meet regulations.

There are creative lawyer/agent/accountants that can set you up.

Would you be 100% legal... sort of.

You need to do some research to understand the nuances and "workarounds".

Many, many, performers do it for years without being legal and never have an issue....until you do.

And then it's a mess if you can't find a "workaround". $$$

You need a signed and stamped:

1) Bank Letter - confirming account and balance

2) Statement - depends on extension but may need 12 mths

3) Bank book update - small transaction so that last line is the date of application

First thing to do is get the 30 day tourists extensions if you haven't done already.

Then if a hospital/doctor will issue an "unable to fly" or he needs critical medical treatment, he may be able to get an emergency medical extension.

This is not guaranteed, if he were actually in the hospital it is easier.

As tourists they usually give these to accident patients, heart attacks, things of an emergency nature.

You cannot apply for a DTV in Thailand.

You would have to arrange the medical treatment plan and then leave and apply at an Embassy by e-visa.

90 day report is a requirement and could carry a 2000b fine.

Someone staying only 6 months will only ever need to do 1 report.

You may be confusing the address registration TM30 which is also a requirement, but if you have no need for dealings with immigration, isn't a problem that is tracked.

a nonb is a business visa.

You would need to talk to an agent or lawyer to setup your own company.

A foreigner in Phuket just recently was arrested for this.

Shortterm "acts" with a tour performance contract and schedule yes, can get a visa.

Freelance "I'm just gonna play here and there" NO.

What some have done is setup a mobile music business'.

Djs and Musicians then can apply for nonb visas as an owner/employee of the business, this is not cheap or easy.

Without knowing what your visa is based on.

There are no shortterm extensions for non-o 90 day visas other than 60 day visit Thai family.
