What should I do after my tourist visa was denied and how can I find a reliable visa agent in Thailand?

Hi all, my tourist visa was denied because when they asked for additional documentation it did not align with the original accommodation. I originally had an invitation to stay, and for the additional documentation supplied a hotel accommodation because the invitee is also on a tourist visa.

My visa was cancelled by the Thai Embassy.

So now I am looking for an agent to help me complete my visa to be sure it won’t be denied again!

I am looking for some recommendations of reputable companies and agents.

Thank you!

You have a US passport, you don't need a visa for a 90 day stay.

can you explain this? I thought for Visa Exempt it is 30 days + 30 day extension, for a total of 60 days

it's been 60 days + 30 day extension since almost a year ago. You don't need a tourist visa to stay 90 days. Tourist visas are also for 60 days and require the same 30 day extension so there's no point in getting one.

what Ron said.

But, some airlines don't let you board if you don't have a flight out within 60 days.

That's easily fixed by buying what's called an onward ticket, which is a real ticket that you "rent" for around $10 to show embassies or airlines, that then gets cancelled after a few days.

Google onward ticket, and scroll down to one of the unsponsored links and buy one there. Make sure to check how long it's valid, so you get one that's valid on the day you're flying.

It's 60 visa exempt + 30 day extension you apply for at immigration for 1900 baht.

Just see that the flight company, not give trouble, as they not take in count the extension. So see that you have a cheap flight out, after 60 days. Please not say, not had any problem with this, many did.

First question is what is your passport Nationality?

Is there a reason that you want a tourist visa if you are able to get 60 days visa exempt entry?

American passport

I prefer the tourist visa because I will be taking courses in 2 places (they don’t help with ED visa), and would like the full 90 days

tourist visas grant 60 days, same as a free visa exempt entry. You only get an additional 30 days by extending it at immigration offices within Thailand, whether on a tourist visa or visa exempt entry. You are likely confusing the 90 day validity period of a tourist visa, which means you must use it within 90 days of issuance, not that it grants a 90 day stay. You only get 60 days from whenever you choose to use it for a single entry within the 90 day validity period.

@Nelly ********
well, you get 60 days when you arrive and then extend 1 time in country for 30 more days. That is 90 days.. No need of a tourist visa.

You can get 90 days easily with a visa-exempt entry. At the moment at least. 60 days when entering + 30 days extension inside the country.
