 most people got a driving license before the DTV got introduced. not everyone is new to thailand.

 many many many people got a temporary (2 year) thai driving license before the DTV. on a tourist visa, on visa exemption, on ED, on whatever visa they had… so it is irrelevant how long the DTV is available

 plenty of people already got a 5 year permanent thai driving license on their DTV. i guess the majority of DLT do it.

2000 is reasonable at 7baht with maybe old appliances… i have a very new aircon, 8 baht per unit. and pay 2000 with usage allmost all day.

 unfortunately there is non that allows top up via transfer. but you can send money to any bank account using Wise or Revolut. very easy.

 it sucks because you need to too it up with cash and there isnt a booth everywhere.
