depends as anywhere, how you choose live. If in a apartment & depend on street/restaurant foods then can be a dump. But if you own a house or condo, than not. I was referring to purchasing & construction; healthcare & overall service quality. Product quality is closer to “made in china” & lots other stuff which can take 10 years to understand…. The years’ comment is that most that stuff isn’t day by day but just pops up like, lots hospitals have uneducated doctors that only have licenses because they have rich families but you still have to pay that expensive bill for the expensive doctor. Of course the double standard with prices because thais view all foreigners as excessively rich.

Aside from Visa which the group will advise, “cost of living”, if live South (Pattaya-Phuket) would suggest 100,000-200,000 THB per month plus accommodation. If middle or north, country, 70-100k.

Can always hire a well spoken Bargirl. They’re also good for finding reputable accommodations outside of hotels or apartments. Also good for Amphurs & anything Reporting.

Likewise, after the re-entry permit, contact a property management company to sell the house & everything else is an overseas transaction.

Meanwhile, get an “in n out” burger & some proper Mexican food.

Just never overstay. Immigration issues is a huge thing in the world now, best not go there.
