sex tourism is not at every corner. Its only in red light areas...you need to get out a bit and go to normal areas.......

New passport means nothing. They have all the data, in your case you have done your time they have no reason to keep you out.......had friends with worse records and they encountered no problems.....you will be fine

In chiangmai I and my friends keep the 800,000 in a fixed interest thai bank account.....bearing in mind that it is accessible if needed, you just lose the interest earned for that year if you have to use it.......

One tip, if you find a place you really like and feel very happy with.....do not rush off in search of another, travelling all around gets boring and you never really experience anything ..... or see it for how it really is....Nice place, relax, enjoy....
