Anonymous participant 995 If the first embassy put a note on his immigration record then others will not approve. It is very rare of course but it can happen.
My own view is the Thai Tax Authorities are not really looking out for people in your position or for say retirees bringing in money from outside. They might care for 2024 if it was 100's of thousands of USA but still not seen anyone reporting they have been taxed. They are now looking to change the rules again so you can bring in outside money earned and not be taxed.
Anonymous participant As I said it is probably updated requirements on the check in clerks screen. Back office staff update these. I had one on Thai Airways from London to Singapore via Bangkok. I was living and working in Singapore and it was the return portion. The check in clerk insisted an onward ticket was required. It was not for a British passport holder. I had my Employment Pass anyway which she had no clue what it was. An airline employee who drank with us saisld that the staff updating requirements for check in staff can make mistakes or not have full info.
