I'd imagine the 90 day reporting online won't be a problem but depending on your immigration office, you may have to visit them with the TM30 form when you return. A lot more offices are getting stricter on that. Mine used to tell me to just bring it with my next 90 Day Report but the last time they told me I had to come with it within 24 hours of landing in Thailand. This also depends on your living arrangement as it is really the landlords duty.
Well, job done manually. Still at pending on the website. I arrived at 9 and the there was 16 people ahead of me. 50 minutes wait. 2 minutes later I was out of there :D
I thought about posting something similar here a few months ago. I received a phone call from a salesperson with a really thick British accent. He explained he was selling insurance to expats in Thailand. I asked him how he got my number and he said he actually didn't know and they are just handed a list of people to call. The only problem with that is... My number is registered in my wife's name as she bought it a few years ago while I was on route to Thailand so it would be ready for me at the airport. This guy called me by name and the only 2 places that have my name with this number are immigration and my bank so obviously someone is sharing data.
I'll definitely keep this updated but I guess I will be on the road to there on the 3rd. Annoying really because it's a 2-hour round trip for me and I always go early morning so I'm in and out within 15 minutes.
Try and get yourself a shorter layover. I fly home to Ireland once a year and even with 2 hour layover in the middle, it takes roughly 16 hours give or take.
Yes, it definitely seems that your only way out of this is to get a new passport in your home country. Even if you left Thailand and went to another surrounding country, as with your plan to travel around Asia, you would still only be getting 30 day exempts.
