Phillipines is obsessed with whitening their skin sone Thai people too, it’s a cosmetic piece around status and class as the whites people are perceived as upper class and the darker as poor people , Phillipines sells soaps that claim they are for skin whitening and I’ve seen teens buying several bars in stores, clinics are all over Phillipines and some in Thailand now that do treatments using glutathione that claims it whitens skin. Big business over there.
