The rules changed recently on this for some reason. My agent told me the only way to get two accounts now is if one is a “fixed” account.

I have a fixed account that I dumped the 800k into and I never touch it.

I have a standard debit card account that I use for my daily activities.

Like someone else said I have a mail forwarding service. I get the choice of shred, open and scan or forward. When forwarding I can choose USPS or FEDEX. It’s well worth it. Very few things get forwarded but driver’s license and debit/credit cards have to get here somehow.

If he is properly registered in that province he will be fine.

My first extension was issued in Ubon. My second in BKK and every one after in Jomtien.

I should add if all other requirements are met. Changing locations is not an issue

Unfortunately I cannot say from personal experience for that situation as I have the funds. But I have friends that told me it was between 25-30K. Someone above says 30K.

Lots of variables. Is this an initial? Extension of existing? Do you have a bank account with 800K baht seasoned for 2 months or do you need them to make that part happen for you?

Short term rentals like Airbnb have always been illegal.

Many condos have signs up in the lobby or elevator stating this.

But then you can do an Airbnb rental through the Juristic office.

to be honest for that category I am not sure. It doesn’t say “or” so I would guess it’s all 3. But I was told BOI is very responsive to queries. I would ask them.
