not true anymore. Starting with the new tax laws this year, they tax all income, regardless of the source.

But it's Thailand, so they don't know how to enforce it yet 🤷‍♂️

That has nothing to do with your visa.

You become a tax resident if you spend 180 days in Thailand in a calendar year. No matter what visa you have.

You enter your permanent address in the application and that is what's used. The info on your ID documents don't matter.
Steve *******
Yes. You only need your passport to buy the bike and a resident certificate to transfer ownership.

You don't actually need a license to buy one.

then they're not your spouse, according to Thai authorities, and therefore can't be your dependant.

Registered now.

You need a passport and a second document confirming your identity and/or address to access bank transfers (which is needed for QR scanning a grab driver etc.).

I used my Thai driver's license, but they accept a lot of different documents, including a house registration book or work permit.

Side note: you can't connect your bank account to Truemoney unless you're a Thai citizen. And Bangkok bank debit cards aren't accepted, on top of already having stopped working on Grab and Foodpanda.
