How can I find my birth parents' names in Thailand after losing my adoption papers?

I'm an adoptive mom. Your adoption records and birth certificate are computerized. I don't know how far back this all goes but for our situation, I am Thai and my daughter is Thai - we had to go through a mountain of paperwork getting her birth certificate created because she didn't have one, adoption papers, sorting passport and ID card. My own paperwork wasn't easy either as I spent a lot of time in other countries when I was young. You have to get over here and do everything in person. If you were born here and your birth parents were Thai, you are a Thai citizen. Join some of the adoption groups. They had people who helped with this stuff. Good luck 👍 💓

Do you still have your birth certificate, or are you still using your original last name or do you remember your original last name? I’m guessing you want to find your biological parents, right? If you’re still using your original birth name and can remember where you were born, I think it might not be too difficult to find them.

You were born the same year as my eldest brother and I remember his birth certificate is still hand written. If you were born in Bangkok they might recorded but if you were born in countryside. I guess it will be a bit complicated

Go to the Thai citizenship group they will know better where to go. You can even do DNA testing to prove relationships to close relatives

Do you know in which Amphur (district) you were born in and how your name was written on your birth certificate? District offices are supposed to keep birth records indefinitely but if their records weren't digitized or the spelling of your name is a little bit off it could be a challenge to find what you need.

I assume at some stage of the adoption process your parents applied for Swedish citizenship for you ?

Have you been issued a Swedish passport?

Perhaps the Swedish immigration department may have copies of your adoption papers or birth certificate?

I would be trying there first and then you may have to travel to Thailand to see if Thai citizenship is an option once you can prove you were born in Thailand..
