I got my old statement from my first extension, after 6 months will get another and then on day of extension will get the last 6 months, plus do an atm withdrawal just before and then get the letter. Krunsgri in udon thani have to get authority for the letter from head office in bkk. Last time took me 40 minutes. Will give immigration 15 months for statements lol. I only use Krunsgri for transfers to Thailand from UK and Bulk amounts from Krunsgri to scb..which I then use for daily stuff. Keeps the number of pages down to about two for 6 months. First time was about twenty pages😅😅
I always use the one month statement from BKK bank, which is provided the same day. With that I print out the year statement myself. You can generate that from the app.
I’m applying for my second year extension next month should I request full bank statement on Thursday ready for The following Monday to go to immigration on the 800,000 permission to stay and then use account and upgrade bank book on the Monday 🙏
Bank should just simply email a 12 month statement to Department of Immigration on date visa extension is due. What is the fckn problem? Why is this so impossibly difficult? Fckn pathetic, bullshit bureaucratic red tape designed to keep shiny arsed public servants in a job 🙄🤮💩🤬
Marianne Holmen incompetent useless, pointless government bureaucratic bullshit has always frustrated me,no matter what country I'm in.That has sfa to do with it.Doesnt frustrate you? 🙄.If people never protest nothing will ever change for the better.
Willism69_ it's not ridiculously impossible or difficult if you want to stay in their country, you do it the way they want. You to do it simple, not that difficult
bullshit!Traipsing around the island in taxis and waiting in queues for 2 separate visits to a bank branch and 2 visits to immigration for something that could be done in a minute between bank and immigration department. Stop making excuses for them.I criticise the same crap in any country but that has sfa to do with wanting to leave it 🙄
The Embassy I extend requires 12 months statements which I order from the bank usually 2 weeks before I apply giving plenty of time to arrive. On the morning I apply I attend the bank and locally they print 3 months statements covering the maybe 2 week gap along with their covering letter. The Embassy I attend also requires passport updated that same day. Yes a double up. In Thailand our perception of surely that suffices does not apply. Present what they ask or No extension. It's that simple. 😁
Brian Loose given that when the bank updates your passbook (bookpass) before you present it to immigration, I admit I don't really understand the need for a 12 month statement. The passbook shows a running total for the entire period at it shows all transactions. But it is do as I say, not do what is the quickest way.
Yes, 12 months, as the financial requirement is that the bt800,000 stays in your account for at least three months after you get your one year extension, then for the rest of the year the amount can never drop below bt400,000. That is why they want the last 12 months of bank statements.
I’ve been here 5 years on retirement visa and never had to provide a 12 month statement. My passbook shows running balances as I imagine most bank’s passbook would.
James Mitchell Normally, these won't be accepted by Immigration. You need the bank letterhead on everything and the bank's stamp. My Immigration just checked through my bank passbook, I didn't need the 1-year statement. So I guess it depends on the Immigration office what they accept
Greg Alexander i did both app and in branch, because I had gone over the 7 day validation period, when i looked both were identical. But yes, all IO are different.
Albert Pezzuto NO, i used a income letter last month, the immigration always accept that, but some countries has ask their embassy to stop this services.
Barry Keville yes, they wanted to see the 800k maintained for the first 3 months of the extension then never dropping below 40k for the rest of the year
For the first extension you can get away with just 6 months which the bank can issue on the spot. For subsequent extensions you need statements that go back beyond the date your previous extension was issued if you are using 800k method and statements covering your 12 months of transfers for the 65k method, plus a guarantee letter and your bank book updated on the day. 3 working days is fast for Bangkok Bank, they normally quote 5 working days
If it takes 5 working days to prepare the statement, how would one satisfy the requirement that the statement must be issued within the last 7 days of the extension application?
