Hello TDV group members,

I would like to request a general clarification regarding travel with a renewed passport.

I recently renewed my passport and therefore now hold a new passport with a new passport number.

However, my valid Thailand DTV visa is still issued in my previous (old) passport.

Could you please confirm whether it is acceptable to travel with both passports (old passport containing the valid visa and new passport for identification) and whether boarding is permitted in this case?

And do I need anything to proof to the airline (Turkish Airlines) when I travel to Thailand, could they refuse me?

I would appreciate your general guidance on this matter.

If we got a DTV from Muay Thai and eventually I decide to do a master degree in Thailand. Does this still counts as soft power? I know they probably won't ask but you never know... but just to be ready with the proper documentation from university and muay thai at immigration if they ask when I leave and come back twice a year.

Are there any DTV holders here who have had success making bank accounts with Krungsri (yellow) bank, particularly in the Korat area?

I've received my 'workcation' DTV, and I'll be landing next week for the first time on the visa from the UK. I've reached out to the consulate which approved it in London with a few questions, but haven't received a reply yet.

1. For the proof of funds they asked for during the application, do I need to bring the bank statements with me to show at immigration when I arrive each time? (I assume I'll have to do this the first time I arrive).

2. Do I need a return/outward flight booked? I'm not sure when I'll be heading back yet, or which country I'll be travelling onwards to!

Many thanks!

DTV bank statement question...

I hear mixed opinions. How many months are required to have the 500k baht minimum balance. I have heard 3-6. I have also heard minimum of the 1 month of last atatement.

What is your experience and understanding?

If I’ve visited Thailand twice already earlier this year will it affect me entering again just before Xmas. Even if the flights were booked before the new rules came in
