Hi everyone, I’m feeling stressed and a bit confused, so I wanted to ask for some advice.

I recently applied through an agent, (recommended by a friend) for the DTV.

Before paying they said absolutely all the procedure and payments were online transactions.

Once I paid them and the 6 months cooking school, they said I should pay the embassy fee in person.

This was initially something I asked and they said very clearly that was no need to visit the embassy.

Im in India and should take a flight to reach Mumbai.

I paid my monthly rent where I live and though they only spoke about just paying in person, now they suggested me to stay for a couple of weeks in Mumbai till the procedure is finish.

I tried to call Mumbai embassy and the number I can find online doesn’t exist.

The agents can not provide a proper number.

They also mentioned about a case of someone who was granted a 6 months visa at this consulate instead of 5 years, after paying a 6 months soft power. So they encouraged me to pay one year soft power.

I didn’t…

Did anyone have a similar experience? How is about the embassy payments?

Does anyone have a contact of Thai Mumbai consulate?

I would really appreciate your comments .

*half an hour ago the agent said that they will refund their fee.

He didn’t mention about the soft power payment I made.

However, being in India and having to start again, what do you suggest me?

Do I need the soft power if I do it myself and should I travel to Thailand and then leave to Vietnam or Laos to go on with the process? How many days can take?

My idea is to spend there around 2 years or so..

Thank you in advance 🙏

As an Indian, can I apply for DTV from Laos, Hanoi or Bali?

Any success stories? Heard we can only apply from our home country.

This is unrelated to visa issues. Am looking for a Roman Catholic Church in Phayao/Dok Kham Tai, Northern Thailand, to do the baptism ceremony for our child to be born next month. I am an Indian, married to Thai wife. Will appreciate if anyone who has some info may please share location, or contact details. Thank you.

A friend from India is here with his 15 day allowance. Can he fly out/fly back and get another 15 days? He says “someone” told him that he can only do this once a year but I can find no such restrictions anywhere. If it is possible can he fly out/in on the same day? Thank you.

Good afternoon group....

Need to get Police Clearance Certificate (to apply Non B ) for my Indian wife. Recently she is on tourist visa. I got a suggestion to go through VFS to get PCC but they are asking for the work permit (as per their checklist on web) so does that mean she needs to get work permit first and get PCC from VFS and then she will be eligible to apply Non B?? or is there any easier way to get PCC here in Thailand?? or can someone get it in India ( local police station) on her behalf and send it here??

Thanx in advance

Hi, I'm an Indian. My husband is working here in Bangkok. He is an Indian too. He has just submitted his passport for extension. I had come to Bangkok on 27th of may on tourist visa and have a air ticket for 8th July. Now I feel like staying there in Bangkok with my hubby. So, is it possible to get a Thai dependent visa where i am already here on tourist visa?
