What additional documents do I need to provide for the Thailand DTV Workcation visa application from India?
DTV Workcation – Additional Documents Requested from India (Mumbai Consulate). Need Advice!
Hi everyone,
I’m an Indian citizen applying for the Thailand DTV (Workcation category) from India, through the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai.
I’m a full-time software engineer employed by an Indian private limited company, and I currently work remotely from India.
In my original application, I already submitted:
* Employer appointment letter
* Employment certificate confirming my remote-work status
* Promotion and salary revision letter
* Six months of payslips
* Income tax return acknowledgements
However, I’ve now received an email requesting additional documents (screenshot attached):
1. A foreign employment contract or employment certificate
2. A copy of the company’s registration/business license
3. A professional portfolio showcasing remote-worker/digital-nomad status
4. Copies of all passport pages
My questions:
1. Since I’ve already submitted my employment documents, what additional proof can I provide? Has anyone applying from India received the same request?
2. For an Indian private limited company, what exactly qualifies as a company registration/business license? Is an MCA Certificate of Incorporation necessary, or would MCA company master data or a GST registration certificate work?
3. Can I download the company-registration document myself? The MCA website keeps showing technical errors.
4. What should a professional portfolio contain for a salaried software engineer? Would a resume, LinkedIn, GitHub, and project descriptions be sufficient?
Has anyone from India, particularly those applying through the Mumbai Consulate, received similar additional-document requests and subsequently been approved?

Ooof, this is tough. I applied for the same category from Chennai and got through; however, my contract is with an international org. For your portfolio, your GitHub is strong evidence; however, they don't look at links. Just make a quick PPT: an intro, some screenshots, etc with the links. A Certificate of Incorporation would be best for your company reg. It should be available to the public. Good luck!

Hi Ritesh,I applied for the DTV and paid the fees on 28 September in Mumbai. On 2 October, I received a request for additional documents asking me to submit six months of bank statements, although the portal initially specified only three months. I submitted the additional documents, but as of today, my application is still showing as “Pending Document Check.”
My intended travel date is 1 November, so I’m hoping to hear back from them next week, either with an update or another request for documents. Could you share your application timeline, particularly how long it took to move past the document-check stage?
Regarding the supporting documents, since I’m a sole proprietor, I attached my GST registration certificate as proof of business registration. For proof of work, I submitted my contract, screenshots of emails and meetings to demonstrate my ongoing remote work.
For your application, I think GST certificate could also work as proof of business registration. You could also consider getting a letter from your company confirming that you’re permitted to work remotely from Thailand and that you won’t undertake any employment or work for Thai clients while there. I’ve included a similar letter in my application as well.
