I just did the marriage visa. I used an agent and it was still a huge hassle. If retirement visa is an option for you, I would recommend it over the marriage visa. In fact, I think I would recommend visa runs over a marriage visa.

METV stands for multi entry tourist visa. It has nothing to do with marriage.

Marriage is a non-O visa.
