Hi is it possible to go on a DSV visa and apply for it with my cohabitant/ girlfriend. We are both from Sweden and need to know if we can use our shared savings to apply for it? Or do we both need 500.000 baht each?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the eligibility for a DSV visa application for a couple who are cohabiting but not married. The consensus is clear: both partners must be legally married to apply for a dependent visa. Shared savings or cohabitation do not fulfill the financial support requirements, and individuals need to demonstrate separate resource accounts for the application.
thats crasy, might just visit with a normal tourist visa to begin with then. But the goal was to stay there for more then a year. Any other good options so i can work with my swedish company in Thailand?

Unfortunately, cohabitation means nothing. If one of you wants to apply as a dependent, you need to be formally married.
You cannot apply for a dependant DTV unless you're married. Girlfriend won't cut it. And generally to "sponsor" financially they will want to see that you're related in some way.

Thanks for all the answers it seems to be more difficult then i thought.
okey i see so what options do we have to get married? ๐ or do we need 30 k each? We just signed off our apartment with the plan to move to Thailand in september so this kind of stress me out. We live togheter and share economy.
You need to see what proof your Thai embassy wants. Some only care if you have the money in your bank at the time you apply. If that's the case you could just apply then transfer to the other and they could apply. But some want to see that the balance has been at that amount of 1, 3, or 6 months.
