Is the DTV visa suitable for a freelance videographer planning to work in Thailand?

Of course, not

Are you using Thailand as only a home and then flying out to other countries to film? Or do you plan on working with and filming local Thai businesses? If the later, it is illegal and not part of the DTV.

Working for or with a Thai entity, serving Thai customers, or working with customers based in Thailand (whether Thai nationals or foreigners) is forbidden under the DTV. If you mean continuing to do the same job you’re already doing remotely from abroad, without involving any of the above, you may try applying.

You won't be able to do any of this in Thailand on a DTV. It explicitly states that you cannot work with Thai entities or generate an income from businesses in Thailand.

You will require a Non-B visa and work permit to do your business. In addition to that you need to ensure that whatever role you wish to undertake is does not fall under the many reserved (for Thai nationals) occupations.

What do you mean same type of work in Thailand? Do you mean with properties located in Thailand?
