I have a Non-Immigrant O-A visa, issued from my application filed in South Korea.
The visa is multiple entry.
The visa was granted 15-December-2023.
Visa must be used by 14-December-2024.
I am a USA citizen.
I am a permanent resident of South Korea.
My next trip to Thailand is scheduled for 1-December-2024.
My required Thai insurance certificate is valid until 25-December 2025.
OK.. The question. When I enter, my โvisaโ will be activated for one year (I assume until November 30, 2025). What about paperwork. Until now, I have had the Thai eVisa letter with the dates. If I leave in January for a trip home, what do I need to do?
Do I need to get another multi-entry stamp?
How does immigration know that my visa is valid until November 30, 2025?
How would I prove it when I re-enter the Kingdom AFTER my trip home in January?
Thank you for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a Non-Immigrant O-A visa valid for entry until December 14, 2024, and is seeking guidance on the paperwork needed when exiting Thailand and re-entering after a trip home in January 2025. Key points include needing to present the eVisa and proof of insurance upon entry and ensuring to obtain a re-entry permit before departing, as the visa itself does not automatically grant multiple entries in the first year.
With a non oa multiple entry visa u do not need a re entry permit in your 1st year. I had the same process starting december 2022. 2nd year i need, leaving in 3 weeks.
You have the print out of the eVisa and a print out of the insurance coverage and you'll get stamped in for as long as the insurance is valid for up to one year from the date of entry
Right and you need that eVisa PDF to show when you enter this next time (as it IS your visa) and you have to enter the country on or before the 14th Dec 2024
You buy a re-entry permit BEFORE you stamp out of the country (either a single re-entry for 1000baht or a multiple re-entry for 3800baht)

Your visa isn't valid until Nov 30, 2025, your VISA will run out on 14 Dec 2024 <- the date you have to enter the country on or by with a new year of insurance to get a new year ENTRY STAMP. <- it's the entry stamp that lets you stay here and it's the re-entry permit that lets you leave and come back
You have the entry stamp in your passport from when you entered on Dec 1st AND you have the re-entry permit that you bought at the immigration office where you live (or the airport) BEFORE you left the country that keeps that stamp 'alive' so you're stamped back in until Nov 30, 2025 <- the date you got on the entry stamp when you entered on Dec 1st 2024
