I have Cash App for early direct deposit in the USA, and I have Regions Bank. Wise has not sent my card, and I leave the 31 for Thailand. I will carry cash under 10k and will have money left in Regions. Will there be any issue to get bank wires to Thailand or to Thai Bank? Thanks

I am trying to fill out the E-Visa application for a Non Immigration O (Retirement) 90 day visa. I am applying in the UK

I am doing ok until I get to the part asking for proof of Health Insurance. I have read in quite a few places that Health Insurance is not required for the Non O visa ?

Can I submit anything else to get me past this point so I can complete the application.

We will be taking out health insurance as we will be applying for a retirement extension but I havent got the policy yet.

Any advice would be appreciated.

What are our options?

My partner has been granted the Non-Immigration O visa (as my dependent here working). He went to immigration on Dec 13 and got the 'under consideration' stamp in his passport - which says to return Jan 3. Foolishly we were told by my work that the 'under consideration' would be for 30 days, so we booked a trip out of Thailand from Dec 30 - Jan 6. So he can't go back to immigration on the 3rd.

Questions:

* is there any chance he can call or go back this week to get the final stamp early?

* if he can't get the stamp before we go, can he return on a visa exempt and then start the process for Non-Immigration O visa again? Will there be any flags/issues given that we screwed up the first one?

* Any other advice/thoughts?

Thanks

Non-Immigration O 1 year Renewal (based on marriage) @ Chiang Mai Immigration.

Upon applying for an extension you receive the 30 day under consideration stamp. Is it possible that the visa will be ready before the 30 days is up or can you only report back on the exact date shown? I'm going to Chiang Mai immigration if that makes a difference. Might have a need to fly to the UK urgently hence the question.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm a British passport holder with a non-immigration O (Thai wife) visa which is due to expire in September.

This weekend I'm flying back to the UK and will come back to BKK later in the year, after the expiration of the visa.

I'm trying to understand whether I can just enter Thailand on a visa exemption and just apply for the non-immigration O visa here (after ASQ) or whether I should apply for it in the UK before I come back. I suppose really I want the option that is least hassle.

It's a bit unclear to me whether I can actually obtain this visa whilst in-country - I am sure that last time I had to go to Singapore in order to obtain it and then re-enter Thailand.

I have 400k+ in the bank ready.

Thanks

Hello All,

I am living in Thailand with my wife who is Thai.

I presently have a Non-Imm O-A visa ( issued in Los Angeles ) with a BKK immigration date stamp of 15 Jan 2020. So it is almost time to re-apply.

My question is can I go straight to a married O visa or must I apply for a retirement O type visa first and then change to the married visa. I am aware of the financial requirements for both and they are already in the bank. I am 72 years of age.

I also realize that I need to apply for new health insurance. Any info on companies that are on the list that Thai Immigration hands out?

Thanks in advance.

Some questions doing late August Jomtien non immigration over 50 one year extension.

In Jomtien, can I do it 45 days before the expiration of the last extension (9 Oct)?

Last year I did my first one-year extension in Bangkok. Is there anything to be concerned about with doing my second extension in a new city?

The documents required for extension on one Thai Immigration list I have are copies of appropriate passport pages, filled in TM7, and bank letter and copy of bank book showing 800k balance for at least two months.

I have never needed to do 90-day reports because I have always traveled.

Do I need anything else for a Jomtien extension application? I will have a TM 30 from hotel and hopefully Jomtien Imm. Ofc. will have provided me a tm30 receipt a week before I do the 1-year extension application.

It's easy to get confused with all the requirements but I don't remember clearly seeing that it is required that I have a copy of a long-term lease in Pattaya before being granted a non-imm. type O one-year extension. Any unique requirements in Jomtien in that regard? Maybe there is something about people in hotels cannot apply for when your extensions?

The Pattaya hotel I am staying at has weekly rates and it will be my address for a week or two for the one-year extension application. I have to go back home for a medical visit before I return to Pattaya for a longer-term lease.

I'm due to extend my non immigration O based on Thai children mid September. Normally I have met the financial requirements by way of foreign income and an affidavit from my Embassy. Unfortunately having discovered this is no longer possible, it seems I will need to go down the 400 K thb in Thai bank account route.

The issue of seasoning the 400 K seems to very much be a grey area. I've read that some applicants have been required to season for 2 months, and others 3 months. The police order referred to in many posts is silent on the matter.

Question: Has anyone has successfully applied for an extension based upon Thai children at Chaengwattana with no seasoning of funds (400k thb)? What are my chances of successfully challenging an arbitrary seasoning requirement by referring back to the police order? TIA

A long post, sorry but everything I do now depends on which Visa I decide to get etc....I am 50yrs old UK male.

I am currently on a METV expiring on 6th May 2019. 1st May I hope to return to UK with my Thai girlfriend to visit my parents (her first trip). Then both of us return here to Thailand end May 2019 to continue our life together here.

We only have now about 7 weeks in Bangkok in total (as going to Buriram for a wedding end March for 1 week) and we require the following in that time.

1. My girlfriends Tourist Visa to allow her to accompany me to UK, which all can be done in Bangkok (no.1 priority)

2. Our Official Marriage, allowing me to obtain a Non-Immigration O Visa based on being married to a Thai national to return to Thailand, which I can obtain from the UK Hull Thai Consulate in May which is 10 km from my UK home. (no.2 priority)

3. Decide what Visa I am to return on, ideally The Non Immigration O Visa based on being married to a Thai national, but if we don't get married here due to time limits until we return end of May this isn't possible.

What is worrying me a lot (hence this cry for help) is I only have 7 weeks to do the marriage and the travel Visa for my girlfriend and I don't think I have enough time before May.

Would it be feasible to just apply for her Travel Visa now, then in UK me get a METV again, but I worry they may think I have had too many already (in 2018 I travelled to Thailand to see my girlfriend 4 times using 1 x Visa Exempt and 3 x SETV plus now my present METV) then end May when we return to Thailand do the official wedding paperwork when we have more time.

Sorry for the long question, but I have had many great responses to smaller single questions on here, but thought it better to show the whole story, thank you.....
