Hi. Has anyone applied for a non immigration o visa online from UK recently please ?

I am unsure whether I have to book a return flight or not or the duration in-between flights

Just for the length of the 3 months visa. Any help would be appreciated , thankyou

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Non-Immigration O visa online from the UK, a return flight is not required. Users have shared that while an itinerary may be necessary in the e-visa portal, proof of booking for the onward flight is not needed, making it easier for applicants.

I just got mine, they don’t actually ask for proof of booking. I understand that you can put a flight itinerary that you intend to book. So even the outbound flight does not need to be booked yet.

does the operating airline understand this? Because normally they will not let you board unless you’ve got a return flight or onward travel,I may be wrong.

can I ask what finance paperwork you sent them ? That is the last piece of proof I have to download on their application. I was just going to print off a picture of my current account and show them that. Hope it will be ok

it will have to be a full copy of the original, photos are not accepted. You can show a savings account statement, or 3 months of current account statements. But must be showing income of at least £1,500 a month.

so if I understand this correctly, I could get my O visa by showing the UK Thai embassy evidence of 3+ months of regular income (£1500+) into my UK bank account at this stage without being required to deposit 800k TBH into a Thai Bank Account which I would only open (hopefully) after I arrive? Then assuming I get a Thai bank account up and running the regular monthly payments go into that, then at my first 12 month renewal point, that would also suffice?

Am I correct in saying that it's either £1500 per month or a closing balance of £

for the first year you will need 800,000 in the Thai bank account. It needs to be in for 2 months prior to applying for the one year extension. The None O that you get in the UK, is to allow you to open a Thai bank account, and deposit the money for 2 months. The visa issued in the UK is only for 90 days.

The O A is for 1 year, but requires insurance, and criminal records checks.

Onward flight is not required if you get the non O, because it is a long stay visa.

Non O visa is excused for onward ticket requirements, but you’ll need to give a trip itinerary in the e-visa portal.
